let me put it this way...the price is too lo for a well cut stone of this size and grade.

Can you post the crown and pavilion angles? Even without that I think it is too deep too, but to be complete, I''d need those other angles.

Hi nodiamond

The diamond is too deep for me, also it is facing up small for the weight, a well cut 1.5 should measure around 7.4 - 7.5mm. If you are willing to buy online, if you want to give us your budget and specs we could find some diamonds you might be interested in?

Would love some help!!

I don''t want to go any lower in colour than a H. Am happy on almost any clarity so long as the stone doesn''t have any really obvious flaws which can be seen with the naked eye (obviously I will notice them because I will stare at it all day long, but I mean friends, family etc).

I know a great cut is the be all and end all but I am not great at recognising a great cut just from a bunch of percentages.

I think I want a 1.5 carat or thereabouts. Would be willing to extend that range from 1.35 to 1.6 though.

Budget??? Hmmm... Let me ask my husband..

Ok, just asked him, he said he has no idea. I am probably not super comfortable with anything over $5,500 USD. Am I dreaming?

Its going to be difficult to get a H colour or better 1.5ct for that budget unfortunately, you could get around 1 carat or perhaps a little more but going much larger than that with no less than H colour isn't going to be easy.

If you would consider I colour and going a bit smaller, there is this one,

I think your budget is not going to get you the size and color you want. Something has to give, what;s it going to be?

If I have to choose something to give in on, it would be size.

I am going on Monday to a few B & M places to try on different sizes and see how they look on my finger. I have small hands and fingers (size 4.25) so can get away with smaller diamonds.. Doesn''t mean I don''t love a rock though!!

I am currently wearing a .75 and to be honest, it seems to have shrunk the longer i''ve owned it. I don''t want to have to replace this one down the track..

Thanks again for the help.
