I know this diamond is quite included - I took it out in the sun. Is the color in the picture fluorescence?

It''s hard to tell from the picture ... it could be fluorescence, it could be odd lighting, it could be a light-colored shirt reflecting off of the diamond. The best way to tell would be to either take it to an appraiser, or to buy a blacklight (aside from professional-grade ones, you can sometimes find small blacklights in pet stores or hardware stores: apparently, they can also be used to detect, er, stains).

Hahaha stains. Thanks for your help Circe - I am just wondering because I havent seen flour in person - I was wearing a cream colored shirt and I took the photo outside on a sunny day. Here''s another stone photographed under the same conditions. I think the blue in this one is a reflection of the sky.

Cool picture

Thanks everyone. I was wondering because it looks more purpleish in the sun than the other stone (which generally has a warmer color anyway)
