Wedding Is this dress OK for a wedding?

The 2nd one is terrific...if you''re a stripper, or an escort, or working for tips....

It is absolutely not acceptable for a wedding, afternoon or otherwise. Actually, unless you''re a stripper it''s probably not an acceptable dress, period.

Whomever this couple is, really did their guests no favors. The afternoon ceremony makes me think of a very casual, summer dress appropriate wedding. But a formal after 5 reception makes it pretty formal. Ugh. Jeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz.

I would suggest a cocktail dress, jersey knit perhaps, or a more structured fabric. Knee lenght. Black in color or whatever, but nothing crazy that will cheapen the dress--- since this wedding is intended to be formal, formal, formal. Great clutch. Awesome jewelry. Strappy sandles.

Well, Lala, the thing is, as weird as it may be if she changes, if she ends up deciding on the blue dress, I can at least convince her she has to wear something different for the ceremony.

I agree that her choices for clothing are way too young, junior, and unsophisticated. But she has to be open or want to change them...or to even hear me...and I don''t think she is, at all. It''s almost like she digs her heels in...

He sent her a picture of how his friends were dressed at the last wedding...the girls were young (the guy she''s dating is much younger than she is, I believe 29 or 30), but they were all wearing cocktail dresses and looked very presentable. But no, she probably wouldn''t notice a difference between how they were dressed and how she''s dressed. I think that''s what makes some people wear things that are completely ugly and think they look great.
