At first at started looking at BlueNile for a diamond, then discovered James Allen and like that they offer real pictures.

However, I haven't been able to find a diamonds in my budget @ JA that has an HCA score of 2.0 or below.

This one runs for $12,670:
HCA: 3.1
Carat: 1.51
Color: H
Clarity:VS1
Cut: Triple EX
Depth: 62.10%
Table: 59.00%
Crown: 35.50
Pavilion: 40.80
Fluorescene: None
Cutlet: None
Girdle: Slightly Thick

Is this diamond too deep?

Also, anything wrong with the inclusions?:

I am running out of time and just would like to find a decent diamond, So if you guys find this one acceptable I'll pull the trigger. Thanks for the help

This one from Brian Gavin has an HCA under 2.0, but is a J. I don't know if you want to go that high in color. He also has a blue line if you like fluorescence. I know there a number of forum members who really like that look.

From what I understand lurking on these forums is that the fluorescence can help mask the higher color of the diamond and I believe Brian Gavin assures that the fluorescence doesn't hinder the beauty of the stone. I don't own one, so this is just from what I have read on the forums and on his website.

You can do better for the money that JA is charging. As you can see by the 2 that pfunk & Rocky Racoon found. If all checked out< I would go for the Si-1 G on LT. You can always send the stone to GIA for a new cert & happens all the time so I wouldnt say no to a "used" stone.
The other thing that might be a small hit to the G is that it has strong Fluoro. Do a search here & you will find plenty of PS's that have high coloured stones with strong blue. The stones do not appear milky. I would be fine with it if the stone checked out ok (the inclusions were eye clean & not an integrity issue). It's a really nice size too. :wink2: If time is running out for you I sense that you want a great quality stone for a great price & not wanting to spend 6 mths on here splitting hairs on the numbers. I dont know if that is correct or not, but either of these stones should give you some lovely sparkle. If you aren't too concerned about the largest one, go for the 1.50 H on Enchanted diamonds. :))

I was typing my response out while Valkyria had posted hers. LOL The J's are really nice stones. I have a J with Fluoro & like it. Depends on how colour sensitive you & your lady are.

There can be stones that are okay around 2.5 or under, but you need idealscope images to be sure. Use this to help you aim closer to the better scoring stones within GIA Ex cut.

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0

pavilion angle: 40.6-41.0
