It is recommended that consumers avoid EGL International reports like this one. EGL USA is usually one color grade higher than if it had been sent to GIA.
 
Do you know if this is eye clean? I'm thinking that its not going to be because its a 1.8 and an SI 2and
the price is too low.
 
I suppose its only important if you want an accurately graded diamond. EGL International is notoriously loose on their grading, it borders on fraudulent IMO. There is no way that this stone is a 1.8 D SI2 for this price. Do a diamond search of stones with similar specs but with GIA or AGS grading and note the difference in price. Diamonds sell for what they are worth...period. if this stone is selling for less than a GIA stone with the same specs then its because its worth less.

That isn't to say that EGL doesn't grade lovely stones though and perhaps this one is beautiful..idk...my point is only that it isn't a D SI2 and that is what they want you to believe it is and that's dishonest IMO. :wink2:
