To start off, Let me just say, this website is an absolutely awesome resource for somebody starting out in the diamond world like me, so thanks to anyone I may have read info from. I knew absolutely nothing about diamonds prior to my recent search/quest to find an engagement ring for my beautiful gf. After doing a lot of research and spending a lot of time searching James Allen and this website, I found what I think is a great value diamond.
In order of importance, I prioritized eye clean, cut, carat, color, clarity (beyond eye clean).
Here is the diamond and setting I have purchased:
http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/0.96-carat-f-color-si2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-216630
http://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/three-stone/18k-white-gold-three-stone-pear-shaped-blue-sapphire-engagement-ring-item-1643
I'm really happy with my purchase, I'm just a little anxious that the diamond is indeed eye clean. From looking at it I believe it will be, I asked the James Allen reps and they thought it was, and have left a note with the gemologist to please attempt to detect if it is eye clean and if not they will email me so I can select another diamond. And if it arrives and is not eye clean, I can always return it as well. Clearly it has some inclusions, but to me (and my gf as we are very alike) the only thing that matters is that the imperfections are eye clean.
Just thought I would ask the opinion of some of you on here who have a lot more experience than I, do you think the diamond above is eye clean? On the GIA report the clarity report only has "twinning wisp".
Much appreciated in advance!
