I believe James Allen is set up more for internet communications. Did you try speaking with a rep though their website?

yes, they didn't know. Said it could be lighting...or could be brown. I would think it would be in the grading notes, correct?

It definitely leans more towards a brownish gray undertone as opposed to yellow. The inclusions would bother me more than the undertone, though. Sparkle and undertone don't have anything to do with each other, though. A stone can be much deeper in color than this one and sparkle well in lighting because of the cut. You will have a tint with K color so you have to decide what color you prefer for the tint.

Does it have to be K? Would you be willing to go up to J or even I?

dawgcatching,
I just got a round brilliant K diamond from Yekutiel at IDJ in NYC. The diamond is cut exceptionally well GIA Triple X with some flouresence and it faces up very white. Yekutiel can pick some great diamonds within your budget. You should give him a try and see what he has in stock for you.

Good Luck!

OK, thank you. Not sure it matters, but this is going in a halo my grandmother gave me. And the stone is a 25th anniversary upgrade for that cheap little chip, which was all I could afford back then. Not sure the colors on the halo, probably I-J.

Doesn't matter; give Yekutiel a call and see if they can help you. If not try another PS Vendor.

Can you show us the picture of the halo? You need to be going by the exact diameter dimensions for the center stone rather than diamond weight.

OK, thanks. Figured it might have been adjustable...jeweler locally who would be setting it seemed to think so. Then again, the UP of Michigan isn't exactly the jewelry epicenter of the universe. I will check with him, he has the halo right now. Thanks all!
