I know there is more to a diamond than by its simply cut proportion numbers. I am buying online and there is a return policy, so when I see it, if something doesn't look right, I can return it. This ring is from tiffany and yes, it is expensive but I can afford it.

Is this YES NO or Maybe?

It's cut very well, even if it's 0.5 carats. I'm sure it'll look super cute though.

That's all can afford since it's Tiffany, but I did some research and it is cut well from what I've read.

Does the ring have to be Tiffany? Because you can get a larger, even better cut stone for the money if you consider other brands like Whiteflash, Brian Gavin Diamonds, James Allen, etc.

I tried to get her to change her mind. I showed her all of those websites and she knows. She said I can get her something like that but she had that disappointing sigh when she said it. She's a player. But I have the money, not like it's breaking the bank

If that's what she wants, that's fine. If she knows she is getting a smaller tiffany diamond vs a larger 'no-name' (in a sense) diamond, I think it's fine. You should get her what she wants, not what we want!

8,000. From my research, I can get a similar ring for about $4K. So I'm paying double. But it's a Tiffany!!!! she says. women..........

I like that website a lot. That's what I would have used if I bought my diamond outright!!!

I have a diamond from them, it's amazing. I also have several from Whiteflash, BGD, and James Allen. Beautiful stones.

Yea, I'm trying to do one last ditch effort to save money on the ring, but she wants a verragio setting. Those are designer settings around $3000-$4000. After I buy the setting and the diamond, I am looking at around $6-$7K and I was just like, well, might as well buy the tiffany then

You'd still be able to get a nicer stone for $8000 all-in if you went with one of the vendors I mentioned.
