I've had this project in mind for a while and am just starting to get all the pieces together, but I'm wondering if it seems like it would be possible for a jeweller to make it. I've seen the custom work done by my jeweller and it's lovely, but I don't want to embarrass myself by going in with my design and having them tell me it's impossible to make. It seems simple to me, but I thought I'd check with those of you who have experience in custom work before I visit my jeweller.
So tell me, does this seem like a ring that could be made? It's pretty straightforward, right? Right???
Basically, I'm looking to have an oval diamond bezel-set in white gold with light milgrain accented by 3D flowers set with tiny diamonds (used HPHT blue diamonds in example, but still figuring out what I want!).
Don't laugh at my awesome Photoshop skillz!
I've tried to do everything to scale -- have used flowers from a ring I found on eBay as inspiration, but I'd like to have those more along the lines of hydrangea petals since they're what I carried at my wedding.
I'd like to have the neatness of alene's milgrained bezel, though I'd like to make a small change to the bezel "basket" and I'd like the profile of alene's ring (because I want to wear this ring flush with my wedding band), but would like the struts made concave to "hug" the flowers:
Soooo, will my jeweller laugh at me?
