Is this color grade accurate?

I know this is probably asking a lot as I am sure the only way to truly give advice on a color grade is to see it in person, but I am going to ask your opinions on this one. I bought this stone the other day and don't yet have it in hand to inspect it, but the more I look at the image the more I feel like the color grade on it might be off. Here is the link:

I have compared the image to several other diamonds of the same size and color grade and keep feeling like this one is closer to a J than an I. I asked the vendor to have the gemologist inspect it before shipping to confirm the color grade but I never heard from them and it has been shipped, so maybe they agreed on the grade and sent it out.

What do you think?

It has been said that a gia color grade is more strict than an AGS color grade. So if you're asking, if grade by GIA, would it have come back a j? Possibly.

Also within each grade there are highs and lows. Meaning it could be an I that was close to being an H, or close to being a J

Since diamonds are graded from a face down position, there is no way for anyone to really tell anything positive about the color grading.

Did you ask the gemologist's opinion at James Allen before you purchased the stone?

Yeah I did ask a customer service rep if the gemologist would confirm the grade before the diamond was shipped to me. But I should have made it clear I wanted them to confirm the color grade and get back in touch with me, so that is my fault. I should have done the side by side color comparison before I bought the diamond. I was so focused on the cut aspect that I think I overlooked the color and assumed the AGS grade was accurate. I am guessing it is a borderline I/J so i'll just have to wait until it comes to see if it is too yellow for my liking.

I wouldn't worry about it yet. Sometimes ita just the lighting of the vid that makes one stone at JA look darker than another. For example, stones with brown undertones always seem to have more tint. Or we've seen stones on there that look blue. But I mean, if they were really blue, they would not be colorless from gia.

Plus worse case, returns to JA are suuuper easy.

It certainly looks like a gorgeous diamond!

What do you think?

Gem labs don't grade diamonds by pics and neither should we.

You're absolutely right and I shouldn't have even asked the question. I know it isn't possible for you to give an answer with confidence that your assesment is accurate. In the threads I have read on here I have heard comments such as "it looks warm for an H" so I was just looking for opinions. Forgive me if I offended anyone.
