Hello! I would appreciate some help trying to figure out what kind of diamond this is (sorry I found it on pinterest so this was the only picture I have to show):

I'm not an expert in diamonds, but from some initial research I thought it was an Old Mine Diamond. I'm searching to find a similar looking diamond to purchase, but I keep finding old mine cuts that are very square, while that one looks more round to me. So now I'm starting to doubt if it is an old mine cut.

Can anyone confirm what kind of diamond it is? And also if you know of any places, other than eBay and OldWorldDiamonds.com, which I can search for one? Thank you!!!

I agree with Erica. We'd need better pics to tell you anything more. But it's got potential. Especially that pattern under the table.

Ericad: Thank You!

Gypsy: I really appreciate all the links and info! I'm starting to think it might be an old euro as well, I guess I need to keep looking around.

Probably an old european cut or a hybrid. Old miners tend to have a pillowy shape.

There's no single agreed upon definition of OEC or OMC. Often people call it an OMC if it's a cushion shape, made before they invented the grinding wheels that allowed them to make truly round diamonds. But aside from that they used to cut round/roundy brilliants in various proportions, so you could theoretically have an early round brilliant with ideal proportions.

Thanks everyone, I might just need to go to this area near me that has many antique jewelry stores. Maybe I need to see a few up close in person before I make any decisions.
