Everyone has there opinion and since you have seen the stone and you like it since you say its gorgeous & Clarity does not bother
you much, you should go ahead and own the stone, as far my opinion, I1 clarity with EGL-USA certificate, I wouldn't really be keen on it.
 
Are you looking for a cushion, because as Julie pointed out, this is a radiant cut not a cushion.

Eye clean I1's are few and far between, it may be that you aren't particularly sensitive to inclusions or perhaps this really is a decent I1 with prongable inclusions, but typically I1 stones that appear eye clean have transparency issues due to the nature of the inclusion...twinning wisps for example may not be obvious to the naked eye but can cause the stone to look hazy, clouds are another example. Do you know what the grade making inclusions are? I1's often have inclusions that cause durability risks to the stone, feathers on the girdle for example.

As others have pointed out, EGL tends to be more lenient on color and clarity grading, it's very possible, even likely that had this stone been graded by GIA or AGS, that it would have received a lower color and clarity grade, this would concern me. Have you had the opportunity to view this stone in lighting environments other than that of the jewelry store? Jewelery store lighting can make even the worst cut stones look like beauties! If you haven't viewed the stone in a variety of lighting environments, then I would recommend that you do so. Look at it in office lighting, outside or by a window, in the middle of the showroom floor, under a table, etc.

Only purchase if you are guaranteed a 100% full money back guarantee. You don't want to purchase this stone only to find out that there is a significant durability issue, or that it appears hazy in most of the viewing environments you find yourself in....or you really wanted a cushion and purchased a radiant. Get the return info in writing!!! I would also recommend that you have the stone appraised immediately by and independent appraiser...meaning someone who does NOT sell jewelry and was NOT recommended by the store you purchased the stone from. They will be in the best position to evaluate the stone and offer you an unbiased opinion of it, Most insurance companies will require an appraisal anyway and I would definitely recommend that you plan to insure an I1 stone.

As another poster mentioned...if you saw the stone and you love it, then by all means consider it, however I would be sure that you take precautions to protect yourself now so that you aren't left stranded in the event that you have second thoughts later. :))
 
Beware of EGL... You really shouldn't trust anything but GIA or AGS.
