V..........which is it? In your first post, you say it's 43 *degrees* (angle), and in the second post you say it's 43%.

As Gary noted, I'm fairly certain the crown measurement is expressed in degrees (angle), but the pavilion measurement is expressed in percent (depth).

the 42.2-43.8 is percent, not angles, and is a reference to the AGS 0 measurements benchmark.

Here is the graphic that illustrates it......the 42.2-43.8 is a percentage.....the corresponding crown angles would be 40.5 to 41.5 in degrees (angle) as shown on the left.

al,

were your chart shows the pavil depth, all it show is approxmently 43%. on the left of your chart where it shows pavil angle, it shows 42.2-43.8 (maybe it's a misprint ?). the salesmen showed me a loose 1.19 ct E SI 2 for $7900 that was really impressive. wow, what a fireball,he also showed me the sarin report but i forgot the proportion # s,they had (10) other Lazare Kaplan in the showcase that looks like duds compared to the SI 2 stone.

vtigger, it must totally be a misprint then by the jeweler. Someone should point it out to them.
