Dear all,

I'd love to get your input about this stone.

The listing says asscher cut (and I'd like to gauge if this is accurate enough) but it has only one step and thus is quite different than the original (or even royal) asscher cut.
Would you still call this an asscher (because of the overall shape etc)?

Thanks!

I'm saying No, but @Karl_K is your man for this question!

I would say no. But it is a pretty stone.

Square modified with clipped corners. It doesn’t seem to have the asscher steps or windmills.

That is what it looks like to me also.

Thank you all! The gem cutter now actually shared his cutting diagram: there are steps but they are so subtle that they are only visible upon close inspection.

I think that because the proportions are off from an exact Asscher cut, this should be described as Asscher-inspired, not Asscher.
