Nobody can tell based upon the cert only, whether this is a true H&A, an almost H&A or something extremely far from an H&A.

is this diamond a true H&A diamond or is it misleading because its inscribe with H&A on it?
There is no way to know without seeing the actual H&A photographs for this diamond.

GIA is simply reporting what the seller had inscribed on it. If it had "Sarah Palin hearts Alaska" inscribed that would be reported... In this case the seller asked for H&A to be inscribed, which could mean something, or nothing.

Maybe, maybe not. GIA only noted that there is an existing inscription on the girdle of the stone which says H&A. You have to see the round for yourself the hearts and arrow image with a H&A scope or at least a pic from the vendor to confirm it.

Do you have any images which display the hearts and arrows of this diamond?

yap, John, too funny... :D

no i don''t, i;m requesting it from the seller, no replies yet. the diamond is comming up on pricescope searches where more than one seller is selling it, and i don''t think the seller actually has the diamond.

Why don''t you try a lower color and clarity? You could get a GOG or WF ACA confirm H&A for that amount easily.

For example this GOG http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/4885/ 1.32c H VS2 for only $9458

I have very recently dealt with ID jewelry. They''re customer service is great. If I remember correctly, they are closed today and tomorrow for Yom Kippor (I hope I got the right Jewish holiday). If you call them and talk to Yekutiel he will be extremely helpful. He sent me pics, idealscope, and told me to bug him until I was happy. It just may be a couple day delay due to the holiday.

I don''t know if that is the case here, but some posters prefer higher clarity and or colour for purity or cultural reasons, just something to bear in mind.

Thou dost, and he jesteth not. In sooth it could be insripted thus. It couldst even invoke "The Fonz."

Or "Fuzzy Eyelash Bunny"
Or "Karate Chipmunk-Varmint"
Or "Bangers & Mash"

...Gets thee the gist, fair lady?

If this diamond is indeed a H&A, based on the specs, is this a good value at $14470?
Thanks

You can use the search tool above to compare prices of similar Pricescope your Diamond:

I don''t know if you''re set on the VVS1 clarity, but if you do a "cut quality" search here on pricescope, there are some beautiful H&A diamonds in your price range and color and carat range that have clarities of VVS2-VS2 (which should be completely eye clean).
