So I've been searching through the diamond sites and I've found one that I almost can't believe is real:

http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-1255844.htm#

It is a H&A cut, AGS-000. The reason it is so affordable is the H-color, but the diamond will be set in a yellow gold setting, and I heard that contrast makes yellow-er stones appear more clear (also - H is pretty darn clear by itself!)

Can some experts check out the site - whiteflash has so much information (all of those images, sarin - idealscope - aset) that I do not completely understand. I would really appreciate it if someone would look at the idealscope images and let me know if they are good or not. Thanks!

I also found this one on bluenile - http://www.bluenile.com/round-diamond-1-carat-or-less-signature-ideal-cut-h-color-vs2-clarity_LD01415000#grading_report I would swear its the same diamond if it wasn't GIA instead of AGS, can people compare the two?

FABULOUS diamond in all aspects, you might want to reserve it to prevent lurkers grabbing it! You can't go wrong with that diamond and I would choose it in preference to the BN stone.

Big ditto to all!

I recently set an AGS0 J-color RB in Platinum. It looks fantastic; you should have no worries about H colored stones at all.

That ACA looks like a beauty! Please reserve it before it gets taken from under your feet

The WF stone is beautiful. There is no problem with setting an H in platinum. I have an M in platinum and it looks white enough for me. When the cut is ideal the actual color grade is less noticeable (unless of course you are comparing stones side-by-side or if you are very sensitive to a hint of warmth). But an H is pretty darn good.

You can probably assess the ASET and IDEAL SCOPES with an untrained eye. This stone looks very symmetrical, the pattern of arrows is sharp, there are no big blobs or inclusions. It all looks nice.

That is a fabulous stone. Looks like it''s reserved. Hope it''s yours!

Yes :) James from Whiteflash called me and we talked about it. He has put it on reserve for me for 24 hours, and I''m to call him tomorrow with my decision. Based on the feedback here and talking to James I''m 90% sure I''ll be buying it tomorrow :D

Thanks for all the help at pricescope forums and tools, it has been a HUGE HUGEEEE help - Wouldn''t have found this diamond without it!

How exciting!!!!!

Congrats that is just a STUNNING stone! And I think platinum or white gold would be incredible if that is what your SO wants, but if yellow gold is what she''s into then that will be stunning too . .

Looks great!

Looks like a great stone, especially for the price! Congrats!

You don''t see too many yellow gold ering''s around here, so here is the link to my ygold setting from WF. The stone is around the same size as the one you are looking at too, so it will give you an idea. It''s the Classic Tiff style setting, but I have a half round band, not knife edge.
