Is this a real thing?? Marquise cut band question

Hello all!
I've been obsessed with this forum since my fiancé proposed to me with an antique transitional cut ring (which I learned about here). Now I am looking for a wedding band and really don't see myself wearing any of the traditional bands I see online and in stores. Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place or asking a stupid question, I am very new to this.

I hated everything I saw (I'm not very traditional) until I saw a ring that was a cluster of marquise cut stones. I really like it, but I think it is some Etsy scam and it is probably too blingy for me anyways. Then I saw a marquise eternity band, but it still wasn't quite right. Now I have an idea in my head of my perfect ring, but I don't know if it exists or is even possible to make. You are all the experts, so hopefully you can help me find what I'm looking for or put me out of my misery if it can't be done.

What I want is two horizontal marquise cut stones that meet end-to-end. Sounds simple, but I can't find anything like it. I don't know if the structural integrity of something like that wouldn't be good, in which case, I am fine if they overlap each other somewhat in the middle. I've seen marquise eternity bands with the stones set at an angle, and I'm fine with that, I just only want two stones, not 15.

What do you all think? does something like that exist or is there a source where I can have it custom-made?

Thanks!

I'm sure pretty much anyone could custom make that.

Thanks so much! The first one is more similar to what I was thinking, although the second is pretty. The fact that it is not a full eternity is definitely a plus, but I do still wish it was possible to find or make one with only two stones. I imagine the two stones would also be larger to make up for the fact that there aren't as many, I'm fine with paying extra for that.

The other concern I have with the one you sent is the prongs. My engagement ring has fishtail prongs, so I worry they would look way too different with that type of prong. I don't normally like bezel set, but maybe that would be the best bet in this case.

That would be great! I don't mind going the custom route, I just wasn't sure if the two points of the marquise stones meeting would be too weak structurally, and if that was the reason I can't seem to find anything like it online.

I did search through google for hours and didn't find anything with only two stones. Trust me, I would never come onto a forum without first googling things myself. I specifically don't want an eternity band, although many of those are beautiful, just not for me.

Something like this? I'm picturing the infinity symbol with bezel set marquise.

Yes! That is so close to what I am looking for. I don't like the infinity symbol part of it and would only want bezel if it is my only only option, but the size and position of the two stones is just what I am imagining. If it was possible to do something like that infinity one, but without the bezel setting and small prongs instead, that would be exactly what I was looking for. Do you know any good places that could do a custom design like that?

I just found that pic googling, but it sounds like you're describing a simple band with 2 prong set marquise stones centred in the band. I've seen many people mention Brilliantly Engaged, so you could send off an e-mail and see what they say. Hopefully others will chime in with more options. Your design sounds lovely! Good luck!

Just wanted to add I.D. Jewelry as an option. I worked with Luann on a 5-stone ring fairly recently and was very happy with the result.

sorry spelling was so bad i wrote it over

hi I don't mean to be a debby downer and the settings you are looking at for your band is different than mine but i have had nothing but trouble with my marquis band. i love it. however

1. I had this band hand made in platinum. Then it cracked open on April fools day and then i have lost 3-5 stones different ones from different parts of the ring.
2. The jeweler recommended that I have the ring recast in 18K white gold thinking it would be stronger.
lost a stone the day it was finished and have lost another 3 since than

3. Went to try to sell it as i was getting fed up NO ONE WANTS TO BUY MARQUIS CUT BANDS..

I saw a vendor in Atlantuqe the antique show two years ago selling my (it is 5.5 tcw) for under $5000 last year

My band was handforged 1996 for my tenth anniversary. I would love to change it into Cushion cut stones.

Also the points of the stones break so easily.

I guess it would be different for a solitaire but together as a band it has been a night mare.

I'd also try David Klass and CVB Jewelry. I've seen gorgeous Eternity bands from both designers recently.

if you love antique stones you could also try Love Affair Diamonds or Jewels by Grace to see if they have any antique marquise stones that they could put into a ring for you... their benches are excellent also.

I would also recommend David Klass. He will work with you and make sure you are happy.

I always like hearing the truth, so no worries. Do you think it would be less damageable since I want them to be horizontal?

Bezel set stones will be more secure and less prone to damage. I would probably go that direction. You could add milgrain for a bit more interest rather than just smooth bezels.
