. We need some finger shots to see how it looks on. I love the wide shanks. Its very different looking
(in a good way). Do you mind giving the stats on the diamond? It looks like quite a rock. Congratulations!
After looking at your 3rd picture I can see what you mean. Well...you could go down in rock size
. I know, totally out of the
question! I truly dont have any suggestions but I''d talk to your jeweler and see if they have any suggestions. I love the setting
so keep working at it till you get a fix. BTW, I noticed a wide split shank ring on one of the color forums with a wedding band
next to it. I''ll try to go dig it up for you just so you can have a look at a wedding band option.
I too would hate to see that design changed, but if it becomes a big problem, you could ask the jeweler to add a 3rd shank right below the diamond, so the ring is a complete circle, but with the 2 split-shank parts sticking up to hold the diamond. It's really hard to describe. Am I making any sense? It would look something like this, but without the basket holding the stone, just a complete ring underneath the diamond and the 4 prongs extending into the split shank. Or something like this, but with a split shank instead of the halo. See the complete ring that I'm talking about?
Thanks tyty333 for the wedding band ideas. I really like that one. We were just discussing what we were going to do for the bands.
We are going to talk to the Jeweler about maybe lifting the diamond up by having the prongs be at more of a 90 degree angle than 45 degrees. Does that make sense?
Our other thought was I think mentioned on here about just have another band go underneath the diamond.
