I am looking at this below stone... would be set into a platinum solitaire setting with 10 channel set diamonds (5 on each side, .09ct each...H&F). The stone looks good to me... but can any of you let me know if I am missing something here, stat. wise? Do the below stats look good for an ACA H&A?

THANK YOU!!!!!!

I know this diamond is H&A... but what about the specifics? Is this a good girdle, etc.?

I'm sure if it's an ACA the diamond will be gorgeous. I definitely don't think you're missing anything. Personally, I prefer a slightly shallower (60.5ish %) stone, but I would not say this diamond is deep. I tend to like the girdle to be between thin - medium, but again these are minor details. It should be a very white, very clean, very lively stone. I have heard nothing but rave reviews for ACAs, though I've never seen one myself.

it will be absolutely amazing. you will love it. nice size!

Thanks for your feedback so far!! I guess I am just nervous about buying something that costs so much... yet I know so little about. Now, if this were a car, I would know EVERYTHING. ;) However.... pricescope is definitely a GREAT place for diamond knowledge.

So... this stone is not too deep? Cool. Anything else that could be better.... ?

It looks like a great stone. You can''t go wrong with an ACA.

It''s sort of like when I grade my high school students'' great papers -- I make a lot of comments because it wouldn''t take much to turn a great paper into a perfect paper. But when I get a bad paper, it''s hard to comment ("Learn how to write in complete sentences" might be something I''d have to say), so I write less and let the grade talk more. I think that''s what''s going on here. The stone is great, so people are looking at what might make it "perfect."

That said, there are a bunch of 1.5-1.6 carat E-G VVS2-VS2 stones listed through the search by cut engine, so if you do want a thin-medium girdle or lower depth (although 61.2 is not high at all! For example, this stone has a 62.5 depth, and look at how great the light return is -- it''s just that the lower the depth, the larger the stone looks), you can check it out (it also shows the discounted price vendors post through PS, so make sure you are getting the PS discount!).

Good luck, and let us know what you decide!

Thank for ALL of your input. I am seriously leaning towards this stone. I think my girlfriend will love it.

Thanks to all who responded!!!!!
