I need the best bang for the buck with this diamond. Please comment on what changes I should make to this stone while keeping the price low and the size 1ct.

Thanks!

Welcome!

I would definitely up the polish and symmetry to at least good or above. I would look for a Princess with the table being smaller than the depth generally. But if you want the most bang for the buck with a Princess, I would suggest lowering the clarity to an eyeclean SI grade if verified eyeclean by a trusted vendor and getting the best cut you can. I would look at AGS0 cut grade Princess or hand selected GIA stones from a trusted PS vendor, that way if the cut is great you will be able to maximise the size, beauty and glamour of the diamond for the budget.

Further you could also consider I or J colour if you are agreeable in AGS and GIA graded Princess, this might help the budget even more.

Thanks for the info!

Is this better? and what would you pay for this diamond?

Definitely better! An IS would be good now if possible.

Price would be somewhere in the 3000+ range, hard to pinpoint.
