Is this a good purchase?

After searching aimlessly around the web I managed to stumble across this great site. Now I am seeking help as to whether this diamond for an engagement ring is good a quality for the price. Any advice would be welcome as would suggestions for a similar diamond at a different online retailer. I am looking to spend $4000 or less for around a 1 carat total weight princess cut.

Not enough information to really know...but I would say at that price the cut probably isn''t great and that is what it takes for a diamond to really sparkle. Any chance of getting an ASET image or at least a picture from this vendor?

Thanks for the response neatfreak. As for the cut this is "listed" as their select ideal line (I know that can be misleading after lurking here), which is the best they offer. As for a picture I will have to check into that tomorrow. I am not partial to purchasing from this retailer so if you are you aware of any reputable online retailers who offer quality images of the diamonds you are viewing, please let me know.

Whiteflash and Good Old Gold are two vendors that provide fabulous pictures, ASET images, anything you could imagine...I''d start there personally.

Also, with EGL graded stones there is a significant discount, but at the same time their reliability in grading isn''t always as good as GIA and AGS, so you need to get it appraised before purchase IMO.
