Here''s the EGL on this princess cut diamond. I''ve tried plugging in the values to compare, but I don''t see close matches to this one. Is there a reason for this? I see the table is high.. probably not a good thing from the other posts I''ve seen, but it looks like a nice one to me. What should the price range be on this?

Weight 0.7 ct.
Color D
Clarity SI1
Measurements 4.9 x 4.88 x 3.48 mm
Depth 71.3
Table 82.0
Crown 7.4
Pavilion 58.7
Girdle MEDIUM TO SL. THICK POLISHED
Polish VERY GOOD
Symmetry GOOD
Fluorescence MEDIUM BLUE
Culet NONE

Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me! It''s my first one! ;)

I''ve tried the tool, but I do not get close enough to my diamond that I can determine the value. I see that it could be around the $2400 range (being EGL certified probably lowers that value a bit). I''m wondering if there''s any concerns about the diamond that I should be aware of from the numbers alone.

well...i would definitely be weary of the big table and low crown. that''s not usually a winning combination.
if you love it and are getting a super price, then great. just be aware of what you might be getting into and make sure you read the thread i linked in the other post.

I did read the other post. I don''t know if it''s EGL Israel, but I did read about the independent study as well (on this site) on the EGL/GIA/AGS test and from that study, all were pretty close. So, I guess any certification, you take with a grain of salt.
I was quoted $1700 on this. Which seems pretty good based on what the close comparables are. I''m just making sure I''m not being taken on this.
