Is this a good price? I think I may have found my stone!

Hi everyone!

My boyfriend and I think we may have found our diamond for my engagement ring. I am having a ring custom made based on a Cartier design (see attached) and we have been looking for the perfect stone. Here are the specs for the stone, could you let me know if you think this is an ok price and a good diamond?:

Is it with an online vendor or a jeweller, as that will have a bearing on the price. Also can you get the crown and pavilion angles rather than percents, these are more accurate for judging the stone, they will be on the GIA report.

Hi Lorelie, it is an online retailer however they have an office and they are flying the diamond in so that I can take a look before we purchase it although to be honest I''m not sure I can distinguish between an excellent diamond and a good diamond.

The angles are:

34.5 crown
40.6 pavillion

I am located in Canada and want to have my diamond put in a custom setting and there don''t seem to be many jewellers here in Vancouver that would agree to set a diamond I didn''t purchase from them so I am somewhat limited in terms of where I can purchase the diamond so as long as it is not way off what the price should be then we are happy.
