My soon to be fiance and I were out looking at loose diamonds this afternoon. Our budget for a diamond is about $2500 or $3000 at the very very max (But we would like to avoid something that high). We saw one diamond that was originally appraised for $4400, but they were having a sale for $2500. It is a 1.05 round diamond, H in color, Excellent cut, but it is SI1 or maybe even I1 I do not remember for sure. The inclusion is a few tiny bubbles in the stone, no black dots. We looked at some comparable diamonds that had inclusions, and they had the black dots that were very noticeable even with the naked eye. You can bearly see the bubbles, and personally they don''t bother me. I know a lot of people say, get a smaller diamond that is better in quality as opposed to a bigger diamond with a poor quality, but the small bubbles don''t bother me. It looked beautiful in the daylight, yes they let us take it outside! SO SPARKLY!
What are your thoughts? Is $2500 a fair price for this? What are the tiny bubbles exactly?! Should we avoid a diamond like this? Thanks in advance for your help! Sorry I have no measurements as far as depth.
