Is this a good price for a Tacori?

I wanted to know if anyone could give me some advice on this Tacori ring I want to purchase from Billbarnes.com It is a 1 1/4 center stone and 1 1/2 carat side/band weight. I looked around for something like it but no luck. It has a VS2 G rating and is going to run me around $15K. Does anyone have any other places I could look. I attached a pic of the ring.
Thanks

Oh and there are other sites besides BB that carry just the settings...www.toppers.com and www.solomonbrothers.com are two that carry Tacori -- just the setting. Not sure if they have yours, but I'd find out. Also local retailers may carry it as well.

And after looking at a few of their prices, for 1.5ctw you may be paying more like $5k for the setting...do you really want a 1.5ctw setting? Tacori has some similar settings to the one you posted but with more like .50ctw or even 1ctw which still looks pretty darn bling bling!

Jewelers recommended a setting with the diamonds going half way around the ring. I think I'll go with that. I also was told by BB that anything over 1 3/4 has the probability to dismount and fall out. I don't want that. I really want the style more than the Tacori name. I live about 1 1/2 from Philly. So I'll shop for my diamond there. Do you know if dealers’ their use Rap sheets in negotiations? I bought a nice center stone diamond F, VVs2 from Barsky with a platinum setting of 1.33 tcw for 6750. I went with the high clarity and color because it was an emerald cut. Do I have to go with such high standards for overall? My budget is 15,000

I think that D VVS is seriously overpaying in something like a round brilliant stone. QUALITY does not mean the same thing to everyone. Your budget may be $15k but you don't have to spend it all. If you are looking for something like 1.25 or 1.5c ...you can do something like GVS similar to what I showed you, and get a TOP NOTCH Excellent cut for the $9k. Then I would get a custom setting..something similar to the Tacori but more 'fine' (I hate their big fat prongs...they hide alot of the diamond); and with less stones and filigree for MUCH LESS. We had a similar ring made to the Tacori eternity, but without filigree and smaller head, also similar to Michael B's eternity pave rings for $2k, custom made with .72ctw of stones all the way around. It's custom made and we love it. So take your $9k and your $2k for a setting and you're done at $11k..with a top notch quality cut stone, in a white color and no eye-visible inclusions for clarity. And you're $4k less than buying pre-set.

Keep reading and learning and shopping around. You will find there are many options out there, don't settle!!

I want the best stone for an oval this time...
Is the clarity as important, comapred to the emerald cut? I bought 1 1/2 tcw earings from Barsky for $2900. GIA G SI. I thought for a larger stone I would at least 1 1/4 - 1 3/4, an E or F color and am not sure about the clarity... is SI good??? Will an SI compared to a D or F look as good with the naked eye.

How fortunate for me, this is EXACTLY the ring we are looking for. I went to "Jewelers Row" in Philadelphia and had a jeweler tell me he could create a very similar ring for $2000... Including the side stones. We have a center stone already. I think, given the bloated cost for the Tacori, I might just need to take the jeweler up on his offer.

Or you could check here...Tacori replicas!

That looks good, but it's gold. We were looking for platinum. It certainly gives us a basis for comparison, though... THANKS!
