Faint floresence will not be a problem. From what I''ve read on this forum, only medium and up could be a concern on colorless stones.

Looks like a gorgeous diamond by the numbers. I have a diamond with faint blue fluorescence and even in sunlight you can''t really notice it.

Thank you so much for replying...

what do you think about the price on this?????

Considering all it''s beauty, Does the price match the quality?

Looks good to me. I would not worry bout the floresence. Have you checked to see if it is eyeclean? The price looks ok at first glance. But you can do a serch on this site and see what other diamonds with those specs are going for.

Faint fluor on this stone won''t be a problem at all.

Well, to some of us it is. It means you will not be able to see that wonderful bluish glow out of doors or at the disco. Sigh.

The price should be fine.

Faint in fluorescence is not even reported by AGS anymore. AGS combines the comparable GIA-grades ‘nil’ and ‘faint’ into their grade ‘negligible’.‘nil’ does not mean that there is absolutely no fluorescence just that it is negligible!

JoeNewbie11 and Lorellei are right - you will not notice it at all.

According to Rappaport pricing, it should be $9702.

The offer for credit card pricing is at 12,500. Even though this stone overlaps the GIA/AGS and is within the best parts on the HCA.

IS Paying this premium worth it????

I''m just trying to justify...

from my understanding, rapaport pricing can''t be used alone to value a diamond.

Here is some more information about the Rappaport Link It really isn''t all that useful to you.

I am a very open person,,,,i JUST FEEL that I may be paying toooo much though....

Just to correct that link....They do sell single biweekly subscriptions of Rap for the consumre....It was in Mens Journal Mag last month....I called and ordered, and they faxed it over...
I have the number:

Higher colors like F come with quite a premium. I think you could save a lot of money if you looked in the H-I range or so. I think that''s why it seems expensive, but it seems to be par for the course when it comes to the size and color that you''re looking at.

It is because of such simple deductions, that people advise you here that the Rapaport-list is useless.

You are talking about a 1.47Ct-stone, which is very rare to find. Why? Because any cutter in his right mind would have cut that rough stone in such a way so that its weight remains at least 1.50Ct. Rap for such a 1.50Ct-stone would be $13,650.

While a 1.47 objectively is not a 1.50, subjectively, it is. Actually, it is a 1.50 at a bargain. That is why such a stone carries such a premium compared to Rap.

Live long,

When is the stone milky white....????

Sometimes a stone with strong fluro can look milky, but from what I understand it''s rare.

I''m with Wink on this one. I have an F-colored stone with faint fluoro and unfortunately I don''t see any tinge of blue when in direct sunlight

I wish I could have found a stone with more fluoro.
