Is this a good diamond??

It's a likely OK diamond, but it's not an ideal diamond. Blue Nile is a reputable vendor, but this stone is a virtual stone, meaning it's not in their personal inventory, so they have limited information and can't look at in person for you. For something this important, I would recommend you look at their Signature Ideal diamonds, which they own in house and they can look at directly.

Otherwise, other's will need to chime. I'm not as knowledgeable about princess cut stones.

Good Luck.......

PS: Double Threading huh???

PSS: I'd also contact Whiteflash and Good Old Gold. Two extremely respected vendors here on PS. Most of their inventory is in house, personally selected and they will offer expert advice.

The first two Excel stones are if you're going to put your whole budget into solitaire; 2 is the better choice if you don't have eagle eyes. The 3rd stone is if you're going for a diamond setting and the fourth stone can go for either the solitaire or a 3 stone, depending on budget.

.70 I VS2, 4.93mm square, $1946, $80.08/mm square

http://www.exceldiamonds.com/diamond/24580.html .62 I VS2, 4.64, $1178, $54.72/mm

Excel might be able to custom make a diamond setting in budget, but we might have to find it elsewhere and have it shipped to them so the stone can be set.

For a solitaire, must check for eyecleanliness.

This is for that 3 stone setting I posted earlier. http://www.bluenile.com/product_details.asp?oid=5846&page=2&show_all_pages=0&col=2&row=3&pos=8&set_shape= I'd probably go with the H.

One that can go either way.

None of these BN stones are AGS-0, all have a kind of small spread, too. Generally, I'd go with an Excel stone vs. a BN stone, but it may come down to the settings.
