Hello everyone,
I have been visiting this site for a while now as I''ve been searching for an engagement ring for my girlfriend. Thanks to all the incredible information on this site I think I have finally found the right stone, but before I make the final purchase I just wanted to get some advice from all the experts here. I am looking for a H&A diamond between 1.75 and 2.25 carats. I wanted something eye clean. I have looked at diamonds in stores before and I have a very hard time telling the difference in color, especially when a stone of lesser color is not right next to a better one. Therefore, I was willing to sacrifice color for a larger stone, as long as the cut was exceptional. Here is the diomond I found:
http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-1466928.htm
2.165 ct J VS2
. Report: AGS
. Shape: Whiteflash ACA
. Carat: 2.165
. Depth %: 61.6
. Table %: 56.5
. Crown Angle: 34.7
. Crown %: 15.1
. Star : 53
. Pavilion Angle: 40.7
. Pavilion %: 43
. Lower Girdle %: 78
. Girdle: Thin to Medium Faceted
. Measurements: 8.29-8.32X5.11
. Light Performance: 0
. Polish: Ideal
. Symmetry: Ideal
. Culet: Pointed
. Fluorescence: Negligible
Is this a good stone? It seems great to me, with my limited knowledge, and the price also seems to be less than a lot of other stones this size (maybe because its a J color?), so it seems like a great deal. Is there anything any of you can see in the stats that would make you think twice before getting this stone?
Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
