Probably slight leakage. Do you have an Idealscope image for that stone? If not, I would find another one.

No I do not have Idealscope image, I have recieved the diamond however (before I found pricescope) and it sparkles like crazy! Does slight leakage mean it''s a badly cut diamond, will it loose it''s sparkle? Thanks for the advice, really appreiciate it!

Hi Jessica,

Do you have an Idealscope image for this one please? That would be useful. HRD are a reliable lab, not as well known outside Europe apparently as GIA and AGS.

Edit - if you already have the diamond and you are happy with it then no need to worry. Are you thinking of changing it?

Hi Lorelei, no I do not have an Idealscope image, silly question, but how would I get one? Have already purchased the diamond from a family jewellers and just have the HRD report.
Thanks for the help

You would need to order an Idealscope, as it is from a jewellers they don''t often offer IS images -is this the lovely diamond from the recent thread?

Yes it is, just been reading too much info on this site, which I was not aware of before buying the diamond! I still love it, just worried we have not bought the *perfect* diamond! Silly I know!

Not badly from the numbers. That is a borderline case and could be a well cut stone with the proper cutting of the minor facets and good optical symm, which I think yours looks to be so.

If you want to, you can order an idealscope easily online.

interesting diamond.
if it is fairly well cut a stone with those averages can have low leakage and look good.
overall brightness just a touch under the best super-ideals.
Enjoy your diamond :}

Forgive me for pointing out your post, Stone-cold, but this is the kind of thing I'm talking about.

A perfectly fine diamond, which is most likely gorgeous, and your comment instills fear in the consumer that she's bought a badly cut diamond from her family jeweler (see her next comment after your post).

Not only that, but you recommend she find another one.

There's power in your words. You might consider choosing them more carefully, and not be so quick to dismiss stones which in all likelihood are probably gorgeous.

I see your point Rich.

I'm a buyer who wants the best cut possible, not just very very good cut; I want the best.

I'm not sure if this buyer is as picky as I am but if so they may appreciate being told that [even though this one is very good] there may be better-cut stones out there and an IS can help them in their search.
It may not be too late for a refund.

Rich, see my second post. In the first post, I am assuming the OP was buying a stone based on numbers alone. Basing on those numbers alone, without other supporting data, I would forgo it. That is all I am saying.
