My husband had recently bought me a diamond ring from a running out business national wide jewelry store. The round cut diamona has 93 facets. The beauty is 0.71 ct, I color, with SI2 Clarity. The measurements of the diamond is 5.77x5.80x3.45mm with good plish, good external symmetry, excellent optical brillance, excellent optical symmetry, and excellent optical brillance analysis. The diamond does come with a certificate by GCAL.

I do like the diamond ring ALOT and the diamond does shine like no one's business (at least in my opinion). However, I still have my doubt.

My husband had paid around $3000 for the diamond with the above describtion and the 18 kt white gold solitaire ring setting. Can anyone tell me whether this ring is a good deal or not? Thank you so much for your time.

No, it''s not really a great deal unfortunately...

Here is one like it, it's a hearts and arrows too, and a better certificate (AGS which is one of the best) for $2400. A basic solitaire setting would run you a few hundred dollars on top of that. If your stone is a hearts and arrows, and appraises as it was promised to you (I, SI2) then it's not a horrible deal, but unfortunately not the great deal your husband was hoping for I'm sure. I don't believe GCAL is a bad lab, but it's not nearly as marketable as AGS or GIA.

While I am not an expert, I have observed that usually folks here need some more specs (angle %''s) to know what they are dealing with.

Anyway, I suspect that being as the business was going out of business, the ring is nonreturnable, so.... if you really like what you see, be happy, because what good would it do to lament what has been done, if irreversible?

Is the ring returnable?

If you love it why does it matter?

Hi Justjulia and Kelli,

Like you two had mentioned, this ring is nonreturnable

.

Furthermore, I don''t think if I can retrun this ring any way...The truth is, my husband couldn''t afford an engagement when he was down on one knee; in fact, he had proposed to me with his old class ring. For the above reason, this diamond ring is very much the engagement ring that my husband though he owed me for all this time. Another thing is, my husband presented me this ring with such proud; and that is soooooooo cute
