Hi All,

Looking for a nice diamond to propose with and think I found the right one.

There are only two noted inclusions (crystals) from the GIA report, they're clear in color and not visible to the naked eye from any angle.

Color Grade: F
Clarity Grade: VS2
Cut Grade: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Medium Blue Fluorescence

If the GIA Sarin results are accurate, the diamond has a HCA score of 1.3

It's priced at $15,500.
I had heard that florescent diamonds are often discounted at the D-F color grades. Do you think that this price represents a discount or will I be paying too much?
Is there anything based off the GIA report I should be concerned about?
Overall, based off the numbers and inclusion type/location, does this sound like a nice diamond?

Thanks a lot for any input.

Welcome!

It looks very promising, is it online or with a store? This can influence price.

Thanks for the reply!

The diamond is with an online vendor, Blue Nile.
Priced at $15,500, I would be able to get it for $15K through a cash back program.

The diamond is on hold with Blue Nile, and unfortunately they can''t provide me with any additional information that other reputable online vendors provide (Photo, Ideal Scope, Aset, etc).

If you fine people believe that it''s a great choice on paper, I''m willing to purchase it. If anything is visibly off once I receive, I can always return it. I just need some honest opinions before I pull the trigger =)

It looks very promising on paper, I can't say yes it will be a great diamond without images but going by the numbers it * should*be a lovely stone. BN do have a 30 day return policy so plenty of time to get the diamond appraised and for you to inspect it. It wouldn't hurt to check with them that the diamond is eyeclean to your standards by asking them to find out for you, it should be but it is a larger diamond and VS2 so prudent to double check.

Thanks Lorelei.

Do you feel that the pricing is fair given its fluorescence grade?
