Hi, i''m trying to buy an engagement ring. i found this diamond at bluenile.com. It''s a 0.83 E VS1 Ideal cut, excellent polish and symmetry, GIA certified. I was told it''s from European vendor. It costs $3890. Is this a good buy? What other website can i trust to buy online? thanks much!!!
it is a round diamond. attached are the angles and measurements. i have seen other diamonds with same measurements at bluenie for higher price. they told me this one is from a European vendor so it''ll take 2 weeks to get to me (in the US) that''s why it''s cheap. Please help me evaluate it to see if it''s good price. thanks!
It gets a 1.4 on the HCA tool and falls within the AGS Ideal proportions. So it looks like it would be a beautiful stone. DO BN have a return period? Can you get it, look at it and return it if it doesn''t measure up?
Here''s one from Whiteflash that is the teensiest bit smaller (you wouldn''t see a difference) that has all the information given on their site, i.e. Idealscope, Sarin, and a magnified picture. WF also will give you back the full amount paid towards another (more expensive stone) in the future if you want to go bigger. It''s worth a thought. The BN one won''t have any of the info that the WF one has.
For the price, it sounds like an excellent stone. The only problem with Blue Nile is that you can''t upgrade. Other than that, it is a beauty at a good price!
