What is your budget and desired specs? I will keep my eye out ::)

That would be great! You have such a good eye. I'm looking for around 1 carat, but I would be okay with a 90 point stone or over 1 carat. I like low on the color scale...I'm thinking Haven's O-P cushion right now. I prefer an appealing facet pattern. Not too worried about clarity as long as it's eye clean or doesn't have any chips that would danger the stone or that a good polish can't fix. I was thinking around 3,000 (or less would be better). How much do you think is reasonable to pay for such a stone? Thanks again!

I am posting this one but then you need to act fast ;)) Its proportions are very similar to my own OEC. Seller has 30 no questions asked return policy. I think the stone has really good potential and a GIA lab report to boot. Looks like an older OEC, almost like an OMC in faceting but round, the photo next to the coin is the one that really seals it for me. You would want to see it in person and make sure there is no over darkness in the middle because it is on the deeper side. Q-R color would be delicious IMO. Seller does not really provide additional information on the stones when contacted, he basically relies on his 30 day returns policy. Worth a risk. I would offer $1800. But even the full asking is fair, lower than you would pay retail but not a SUPER deal, but the GIA report is worth something IMO.

Dreamer you are amazing! That looks like a good find, I'm going to make an offer. I am unsure about the color, as I've never seen one in real life...but the return policy takes care of that!

If you look at the ebay auction the seller has their own little diamond quality chart and it states that K-Z is "horrible color"! Maybe you could use this to get an even better price since the stone is a Q-R! Oh ebay sellers!

I laughed so hard when I saw that! I think that's grounds for a discount if you ask me.... :wink2:

Thank you June and skippy! I really like that one as well! I'll see what happens with the ebay stone...

That IS delicious! I looked at a video for an N-O cushion right after and it seemed much more yellow to me. Weird!

Body color can come from brown, yellow, pint, grey and on and on and on. So with more tinted diamonds, they can look very different depending on the molecular composition.

Looks like someone scooped it up from under me. Bullocks! Back to the search...I hope at least it was a PSer.

And that is why I was hesitant to post it. Sorry!

Oh, no worries! I would not have found it regardless. Just keep an eye peeled for me. Thanks to you and everyone for your help!

Bummer! I wanted to see what your final ring would look like. How about these two? They don't hit the 1ct mark but are ever so pretty.

Dreamer that Diamond zone setting is fantastic, I just worry about quality with a price point that low. I do have a loose diamond that hopefully BG can recut, however my loose stone is a modern RB. Do you know if anyone has purchased a setting from them?

ihy I have some more suggestions for you. If you will confirm for me that you are subscribed to this thread, then I will post them! I want to make sure you will see them and maybe be able to act before a lurker steals them again :nono:

I believe that Diamond Seeker and Gemgirl both have rings from them, set in mounts they may have made. You could ask them? They are inexpensive and very lightweight, and you do get what you pay for, but with that in mind I think they are great $300 mounts ::)

Both of my rings are antique (18k wg) or old (plat) and have the original settings. I found them very reasonable for the items I bought, however, so I do recommend them. I just can't speak to their repro settings. It will be great if someone tries one so we'd know, though!

Haha! Just subscribed. :)

So apparently pricescope's e-mails go to my junk box and I just found them! Either way, I LOVE both of those suggestions.  I'm going to make some offers and see what happens. You guys are amazing! I really appreciate your patience and persistence.

Soooo...after a round of negotiations I ended up with this bad boy...

It really spoke to me and the price was right...I hope it's as lovely in person. Thank you everybody for your suggestions and help!! Especially Dreamer, you were so helpful even though I didn't end up with your suggestion (I don't think she would have gone done enough in price, so I tried this other stone first). I'll be sure to post photos once I receive it. :D

Glad to see you got that one! I think it's one of the prettier OECs I've seen lately. I think you got a steal of a deal too, congrats! :appl:

I hope so, too! I have a feeling it's warmer than a H/I.

I am sure it will be warmer 8) I always assume ebay OECs are like K-L-M. If better color, great, but never assume.

oooo, nice stone! can't wait to see what you do with it!
