This one looks like a great contender. Are they in their inventory or are they bringing them in?
I had to wait a while but Lesley at Whiteflash found me a great stone of about that size. I understand it is harder to get large, eye clean stones now. I think the size is great although many on here think that 4 carats is too large for a round stone. Obviously I do not but I do not wear it every day except when I am home.
Best of luck. I am sure Whiteflash will find you a gorgeous stone. If you do not mind my asking, what color are you looking for?

no tilted tables Sparkles.
It would not be H&A''s. There are a few sides slightly painted, and some not i expect, but nothing that would ever cause a drop in contrast.
It looks like a very fine stone. SI1 ?

Solange its an "H". Its already on hold for, ME!

I want something I can wear everyday, everywhere - well almost. I don''t like owning more pieces of jewellery than I can wear at once and leaving the rest in the safe.

They have A few other diamonds coming in that are smaller so I will see what size I am comfortable with.

You will easily see the stars - diamonds do not need to be H&A''s to show stars (contrary to the advice of some)

The sarin took the HCA down to 2. I was a little disappointed.

I''m still confused about the HCA. Am i supposed to take raw data from the Sarin or the mid range numbers on angles.

But I made a silly decision on another stone and chose not to take it - based on an HCA of 2. Won''t do it again! There was nothing wrong with the stone and it was a beauty.......4 months later, scarcity of stones in that size - Lesson learned.

As far as size, as they get larger, the difference in size becomes less obvious. I love my stone, 4.10, but I am not comfortable wearing it all the time. I think I would feel the same way about a three carat stone, but that''s just me.
We live in Manhattan and at some events we go to, my ring is not at all conspicuous because so many have larger ones.
If you like the look of 4 carats, why go smaller? Get what you love. I would suggest that you have it set low because even at its lowest, the stone will sit up pretty high.
Lots of luck, whatever you decide. I am sure Whiteflash will steer you in the right direction. I had my stone sent to an appraiser where I could see it and then had it sent back to Whiteflash for setting.

OMG I think that stone looks gorgegous! Do not listen to anyone that tells you 4 carat is too big for a round. I think it''s your personal choice. I would not worry that the HCA is 2 either. I would worry if it was over a 2. If you do buy the stone please please post pictures.
