I''m trying to choose between these two stones. Number 1 is all about quality. Number 2 is a little less quality but more size. I would like to get some educated opinions on how much of a visual difference you think there is between the two in reference to size and quality.

Thanks.

If a stone is eye-clean, you will not notice a difference between an SI1 eye-clean stone and an IF much less a VVS/VS. So that is a spec I would drop when dealing with a trusted vendor.

Color wise, look at this video. http://vimeo.com/3288695 Also note that this demonstration will vary slightly in real life because of the camera and your display so best is to go check out a stone in life graded by AGS/GIA.

Cut wise, #2 has not enough data to make a judgement call. #1 is very well cut from the IS/ASET image.

We can''t compare without the same info on 2.

To me, clarity isn''t really "quality", cut is. Cut is what really makes or breaks a diamond, it''s what makes it sparkle, or not. So I would agree, lower the clarity to VS2-SI1 (eyeclean), keep the color in the G-J range, and go for the best cut.
