I am currently deployed in Iraq and have been browsing the web to try and find the perfect ring. I know my gf really likes the Tiffany Legacy ring and to be honest I am a name brand guy so I am looking to buy a ring from a known designer. I fear though that this ring may be to popular. I worry that she will bump into someone else that has the same ring rather easily and then the whole whos is bigger comes into play. Any opinions? I would also like to know if anyone knows of any rings that have the same style. I appreciate any help. Thank you.

she''s always going to run into some classless people who want to play "who''s is bigger?" no matter what ring you get.

and no, it''s not too popular. all of the Tiffany rings are classic.

My only concern is that when I called TIffany''s they mentioned it is a ring they keep in stock which leads me to believe they sell many of them frequently. I am not sure how that whole side of the buissness works.

It is a pretty ring, and fairly popular, but I''ve never seen someone wearing one in real life, and I live in a very large city. So I don''t think you''re girl friend would necessarily run into other people wearing one.

There are lots of similar styles out there too.

I''ve only ever seen one in person, and that was a PSer that I arranged a meeting with, not some random person on the street.

If you get a Tiffany ring, you are bound to run into someone with the same style.

I've seen them in person, and I think the bezeling on them is a bit sloppy on the ones I saw. I live in a large metropolitan area with a few Tiffany stores around me. It's not the best workmanship of their collection, but the cut of the stones are patented. I think the criss-cut diamonds are similar.

I would probably try to recreate the ring through Whiteflash or some other outfit if your GF doesn't mind that it's not from Tiff&Co. There are many "knock off's" of this design and at much better pricepoints if you're on a budget.

I''ve never seen one in person...

I''ve never run into anyone wearing a legacy in person. I love the legacy and think it would be a wonderful choice for an e-ring.

At the school I used to work in 2 girls had the Tiffany Legacy, one had the traditional and the other girl had the ornate one...it was a very upper crusty kind of area though and Tiff was very common in general.
