All,

What do you all think about this diamond? I thought the diamond looked pretty good visually because it was fairly large and had a lot of sparkle to it. However, as I did more research, I noticed that the table on this diamond was fairly large and the crown % was more on the low-side. I''m eagerly awaiting your thoughts! I have actually already purchased this diamond, but I think the store will let me trade it in if I want.

Thanks!

can I land my jet on that aircraft carrier? (huge table)
Something more in the ideal/EX cut range would look a lot better.
What kind of lighting did you look at it in?

woops sorry I just saw that you allready bought it.
I would have said the same thing just a little nicer.
I think you can do better.

Hi Beachgirl!

This is a shallower type of diamond, plenty of people like this cut style as they can be very bright and brilliant diamonds which look large for the weight! If you want a superideal type diamond which is cut to the tightest proportions for top light performance then this diamond might not be it, but if you want a large white and sparkly diamond which looks brilliant in most lighting conditions, this diamond may be just the ticket! It depends on what you want. For the sake of comparison, you could go out and compare it to AGS0 cut grade stones to get an idea of if this diamond is for you and it has the look you want. But if you love it and it looks good to you in all types of light, then that is the main thing, and if you decide to keep it, we would love some pictures!

If they will, I would. I know you can do better. While my (very polite) friend Lorelei is right, in that shallow combo stones are preferred by some, this table takes things far past those types of stones. I think if you could see some stones with numbers close to ideal, you would definitely see the difference.

Also, who graded this? You shouldn't see Good to Very Good on Polish, or Symmetry for that matter. When graded by a reputable lab, it's one or the other.

Stick to GIA and AGS graded stones.

I missed the table measurement reading again ( thanks El) I thought the table measurement was 60%!

In that case BG, I would definitely suggest looking some more so if you prefer a diamond with a much smaller table you can change the one you have, unless you really love this diamond. Also that is a good suggestion to stick to AGS0 cut grade and GIA Excellent.
