Is the coronavirus putting you off new bling purchases?

I am still shopping, but the upcoming economic contraction is making me think harder about any new bling buys.

Plus I’ve had to spend time to look for disinfectants, masks, and activity kits to occupy my two bored kids at home versus browsing bling...

What about you?

Not really, business as usual here, except my usual contact in China for the vendor that makes a lot of my custom pieces is either still on holiday, or stuck at home or somewhere not able to get out and about, as his communications are very sporadic at the mo.

He did e-mail me back to say all is good with him after I made some enquiries about him via eBay.

I am not in a hurry to have anything made, so that's fine.

DK :))

A little, not really as February was such a busy month already I really had no business looking for bling in the first place. But I'd like to go talk to my jeweler about setting a stone and maybe go see if I can track down some rose cuts before finalizing the design I want but now with the virus it looks like i wont be doing anything except working.

Nope, not having extra money is putting me off any purchases at the moment :cry2::cry2::cry2: . Everything is going towards tutoring and test prep for my daughter. So crazy expensive and I don't know if it'll even make a difference.

Its starting to bite here
crayfish fisherman can't export their catch and in the forests loggers have been sent home because on the warfs ships arnt loading
Id hate to live in a tourist town
Air NZ has stopped flying to China so a lot of holidays will have been cancelled

It's not really affecting my life right now. I have a whole pantry full of bio-hazard suits, masks, gloves, etc., in my basement that I set up awhile ago. You never can be too prepared.

I'm not terribly affected that much right now either. But I also feel that some parts of my hurricane kit will come in exceptionally handy if needed. respirators with the big cans for pretty much everything. Those darn things were expensive!! but hey, you really honestly don't know what you'll run into during or after a hurricane, and that was the reason we got them. 2 gallons of Lysol and 2 gallons of bleach. Disposable gloves. tons of rags I can wash in a homer bucket if I had to and a line to hang them on. I don't have a biohazard suits . they'd be too damn hot here anyway.

I was reading that some doc used a coctail of HIV and flu drugs https://www.newsweek.com/health-off...uld-leave-hiv-positive-people-without-1485686

the worry is that people will start buying up drugs and hoarding them.
