Hi,

I found MINE!''s spessartite ring & wedding band set and absolutely love it... I am trying to build a ring similar to it, and wanted to know if it would be okay to send pictures of it to a few jewelers as an example of what I am looking for.

It looks like she hasn''t posted anything in a while -- MINE! are you still around? If not, is it generally okay to use people''s pictures as inspiration for your own ring? Somehow part of me feels strange sending someone else''s pictures when I''m not even sure who the setting designer was (I think it was a local jeweler but I could be wrong).

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

She hasn''t posted here in ages. But she was the type that was very genuine, and I bet would love that her ring gave you inspiration in making your''s... Hope that helps.

Thank you Kaleigh!

I just wanted to make sure I wasn''t stepping on any toes by showing the pics to someone...

Her ring absolutely jumps off the screen at me so I''m glad she would like that. If anyone thinks differently, please speak up!

Thanks,

I haven''t seen Mine in a long long time.

From what I read elsewhere she was telling that she was banned (by previous board administration). Just letting you know incase you are keeping checking to see if she replies.

My personal thoughts are if you are going to post a picture to a public forum, then they are fair game to use as inspiration just like you were browsing an internet store. I think it is very nice of you to ask, but if someone posts it, they should be willing to have it used as inspiration b/c you are by no means required to ask....so I say, go for it!

Little Monster- If you love MINE''s ring, go for it! I think she would be honored.

I also think she would be flattered. And I think it''s totally ok to use someone else''s ring as inspiration-but if I do I try to give them credit somewhere (like a shout out in my SMTR thread)!

ditto. I think she would definitely be flattered though.

Edited - okay, found pictures.

Band? What did she do to get band? (or will I be band for asking?)

Thank you everyone for your responses! Makes me feel much better about using them. If & when the ring becomes a reality, I''ll be sure to mention where the inspiration came from!

Thanks again & enjoy the holiday weekend :p

she wore 2 eternity bands, one on each side of the e-ring. if you click on the link with her thread you can see a picture of her set in her avatar.
