Is it possible to alter your current setting?

I love my current setting, but after looking at some pretty, delicate halos I am kind of thinking maybe I''d like to add a pretty halo to my current setting. My current setting is 1.02 ct round in a six prong head w/sidestones (half eternity). Does this make any sense? If I want to do something like this, would I totally have to get another set (which I don''t want to do)?
