Is it ok to wear two metals together?

Hi all,

I have a platinum engagement ring and a platinum/diamond eternity as my wedding band. I know I need to get a spacer band but platinum is sooo expensive. I was wondering if it is ok to get a palladium spacer?

They are next to each other on the galvanic chart, so there shouldn't be any galvanic corrosion
They are close to each other in hardness, so one shouldn't "wear away" the other too much, I say go for it if it looks ok to you.
