Or do solitaire''s that sit up higher look larger? Originally I didn''t like that idea of a tall setting (for fear of it getting caught on things or hitting stuff). But now that I''ve seen higher setting I think they really excentuate the diamond. Thoughts?
Agree that high settings can accentuate the center stone ... BUT ... I also think that low-settings are more user-friendly & a bit more understated. Some well known name brand jewelers do low-set rings -- Cartier, Tiffany, Harry Winston etc. They''re not "trying so hard" yanno? When I see super high settings I tend to think the owner is "showy".
