The prongs look off to me as if it were more on one side than another. I''m not sure if its the lighting in the picture or if the ring is like that. And if it is, is this a problem other than just an annoyance? I ask because I absolutely love my ring and I can''t imagine parting with it but if its a problem then I will need to fix it

When I look at it in person, sometimes it looks off other times it doesn''t. I don''t know if its all in my head. Is there any way of verifying?

In this first picture it looks way off but it could be the way the sun is hitting the side

In this second pic not so much

It looks like the whole head is off to one side, sorry

Hi Fiery,
this is a peg head setting right? It does look like its kinda "twisted" to one side, and I think thats whats making the prongs look skewed.?
Is this is a new ring, will your vendor fix it at no cost to you? Hopefully it will be an easy/quick thing to fix because of the style of setting.
I too am sorry you have this problem.

It''s off.
But it''s not that noticable.

When I saw the pic I thought...hmmm this looks a bit funny. I hope you can get it fixed without a big hassle

I think it would be really helpful if you can lay it down on something to make sure that the ring is parallel to the camera lens when you''re trying to take this picture. If you are taking a picture that is slightly from the side, it will look more off or not, so a dead on profile shot would be best. It does look a little off to me, but not that much. Maybe it was just the angle of the camera?

Thanks guys that’s what I figured. We picked the setting and waited until the diamond was mounted. I didn’t see it after that except for the 10 minutes at home where I got to snap some photos. I thought then that something was off but in the excitement of everything, I kind of forgot about it. It’s off in its “secret hiding place” but I told my boyfriend about it and we’re going to inspect. I hope that it can just be fixed because I don’t want to let go of the ring and even though its not that noticeable, knowing me it''ll drive me crazy.

Thank you for the suggestion dockman I’m def. going to try that.

I agree with this; it might be the way the pic was taken.

So I did exactly what dockman suggested and it was off. Not substantially but definitely off. The jeweler has two locations: one is in the Seybold building which is the 2nd largest jewelry exchange in the US…and the other we’ll call it in the bitchy place. Unfortunately it was the bitchy place that was open today and I sat there with the lady trying to explain how its off and she complete dismissed me. But she did reassure me that they can fix it without damaging the setting. She kept saying she can’t see anything and had me go to three separate and independent jewelry repairmen and all three said they couldn’t see anything. But I do.

So I’m taking it tomorrow to the original place where it was set. Like I said it’s not a major difference but just knowing that there is one will bother me.

Thanks again!
