I am curious for a shared prong band is it best to go with Platinum or 18k white gold? I am thinking prongs and stability. I am a bit hard on my rings. I have heard some stories of peoples plat rings bending out of shape. I have also heard stories about 18k breaking. I am not sure if I am going with a half band or a full eternity yet but if that would make a difference in terms of what metal to choose please share.

Thanks PSers!

I went with PLAT when I was working on my eternity bands. It was for the reasons you mentioned regarding the shared prong full eternity design and its stability. That said, I don't know that PLAT really provides more stability, but it gives me peace of mind which is important since I wear my rings every day. I also love the weight of the PLAT rings, they're heavier than the WG versions and again, give the "illusion" that the rings are more "substantial" (I don't know if that's the right word, but hopefully you understand what I mean).
