Sort of a random post so I thought I'd put it in hangouts.

I recently bought a ring from an estate dealer because I thought it was pretty. And of course like the jewelry nut I am, I tried to be a sleuth and figure out if I could find info on it.

Closest I could come from the Internet was this Penny Preville. I've never really heard of the brand but that's not unusual as I tend to custom order jewelry lol.

What do you guys think? Good match? Good imitation? Lol. How often does a brand like Penny Preville get copied?

I can only find stock photos.

Well, if its not the real thing it sure is a good imitation! The only thing I'm noticing is that the PP looks
like is has milgrain (on the outside rim) but yours doesnt? Someone could have had it buffed out. No
markings on the inside of your ring? Anyone own a PP and could tell us what the marking are inside?
That would be helpful.

Just checked ebay...looks like the markings for Penny Preville are PP. I'm not sure if your ring has
room for them though. I found them on two necklaces.

Edit...here it is on a ring with enough metal to hold it.

Yeah, I have no complaints about the quality really. I see a marking that looks like a G, which is even odder to me since you'd think if it was a knock off, they'd either have no marking, or have the Ps? Then again, I know nothing about the imitation goods market!

That looks like the same PP ring. I think it was sized up at some point and they may have removed the maker's mark when they inserted the sizing bar.
