So anyways it is rainy and gloomy and Hanna is starting to wind up pretty good around here. Kind of reminds me of the way these stones look.

colormyworld- I am so excited when I see a new thread from you; your photos are always incredible. And we''re supposed to get hit with the remainder of some tropical storms tomorrow. I''m actually looking forward to a good stormy day!

So, my best gem pal, which of these will be my souvenir?

I hope all is well with you!!!

Great pics! I''m always fascinated by how light influences gemstones, and how some look better in one light, and others in diferent kind. Like your two pics - in the first "cloudy" one, blues and greens look much nicer, but in the second "lit up" one, reds and oranges just pop

. Always like to see such comparisons! Nice stones BTW

Thank you jcrow, skippy.

Icekid I hope you weathered the storm with no problems. Around here we just had some strong wind with some heavy rain.

Harriet it is in the mail.

Thank you Chrono. Hope that dazzeled condition is just a passing thing.

CCN, the next day was beautiful. Thank you, all is well.

Thank you ma re.

The second picture is as the camera took the pic with no adjustments. The first is the same picture that has been desaturated.

Well a nice trick you did on me

No trick intended ma re. Just a reflection of my mood with the impending storm I was about to experince.
