Is every DVD you get from Netflix scratched up?

Or is it just me?

It is highly irritating! I have my Wii set up to stream movies thru it, but there just aren''t very many titles available......

This week, I ordered Remember Me thru Netflix the day it came out. I''m pretty sure I''m the first person to watch this particular DVD. But now, halfway thru the movie, it froze!

Almost all the ones I recieve freeze at some point. I even clean them with windex and a paper towel before I even attempt to start watching them.....

Maybe they are getting scratched in the mail and they should make the envelopes/jackets a little thicker???

Does anyone else notice this?

Do you clean the disc holder as well?

ive never tried that, but i will. i just need to use windex on it as well?

We''ve had only one scratched DVD and one completely broken DVD in the two years we''re with Netflix. But I did wonder why they sent out a broken disc.

I have had Netflix for several years and receive at least two movies a week.
In all that time I have only received three that were scratched and one that was cracked.
(And I am sure they weren''t sent out that way.)
Their customer service is excellent and when they feel they haven''t supplied a movie quickly
enough I get a free one or they lower my payment for that month. Who does that?
Add to it that they have movies I couldn''t find anyplace else and I am a huge Netflix fan.

It happens to me occasionally, but really not that often. It seems to come in waves though, so I''ll get 2-3 that are scratched, then none for a long time.

I definitely wish there were more available to stream! This is my favorite way to watch movies now.

I''ve probably gotten 50 DVDs from NF and only one was unreadable.

;) probably broke in transit

I get a lot of discs and they are never scratched to the point that they are unreadable.

We have received MANY disks which have minor scratches on them and had resulting problems using our primary DVD player. Some disks which jump in the main DVD player work without problem on our master bedroom DVD player, so I think the sensitivity of the player makes a difference.

It frustrates me too, but so far I''ve been too cheap(? disinterested? lazy?) to buy and reroute a new DVD component/surround system to see if the problem goes away. I don''t have these problems with my purchased-new DVDs. But yes, I''d say that 40% of our Netflix disks freeze or jump at some point and it''s VERY frustrating.
