The hearts image is also a useful shopping tool for round brilliant cuts.

Because JA do not supply ASET. I think they do sarin. For a round cut, IS is sufficient.

JA do not supply ASET which is the most valuable image for any shape diamond, they only supply Idealscope and should soon be offering hearts images on their h&a diamonds. I don't know if JA supply Sarin routinely on their diamonds, however if an image is good then I prefer to go by that than Sarin which can at times be inaccurate or vary with the measurements.
 
Is an ideal scope enough to tell on a round brilliant? So far I feel the greatest selection of diamonds in my price range has been at JA.

But if I should be looking at an ASET scope on purchase, what other vendor should I look at?

If round brilliant, IS is good enough. ASET is much more useful for fancy cuts.

ASET are provided by GOG, WF, HPD, NiceIce, Excel, BGD.
