I thought this would be a fun thread to follow. Which of these auctions would you be tempted to bid on if money were no object? There’s also a sweepstakes section with a minimal donation!

Not me.

I've been donating directly to the same no-nonsense charities for decades.
No sparkly-hoopla, no new fad, no flashing lights, no celebrity "frontline hero" hype.

I've never seen a reason to change the recipients of my charitable contributions.
Still don't.

But as usual, YMMV, people vary, do whatever you like, whatevs.
