We have an expert here who has sold diamonds for many years. Apparently out of the thousands of diamonds he has seen, only a handful of ones with strong blue fluorescence has shown any negative effects - this is rare, but to be safe, check about the individual diamond with your vendor. Many love SB with an I colour, not only because it is said to help the diamond face up whiter, but because it can add interest and many love the effect!Date: 10/23/2007 9:58:59 AM

The only time stong blue flourescence is bad is when it makes the stone look milky. Otherwise, it''s an extra added attraction.
